Home is a song that Akshit wrote two years ago when he was living in Pune, away from his home (that is in Rohtak, Haryana). The song talks about the difference between a house and a home, especially for someone who’s just moved away from his family, to a new city. This is a special project for Akshit as this is the first song that he has produced in his bedroom, although percussion and bass were programmed by his bandmate Akash Gupta. To experiment a little with the production, Akshit got inspired by the famous producer, singer-songwriter, Finneas, and recorded a lot of natural sounds along with sounds that you can hear on the streets. He recorded them all on his phone and used them later in the song. HOME was released on the 22nd of October, 2020 on all major streaming platforms, and was featured in RADAR India, Spotify.

The REX-Karamveer award nominee has played at venues such as Hard Rock Cafe Pune, Sofar Bangalore etc. Akshit describes that he’s in that phase of life where he observes a lot happening around and no one to address it, and as an artist, Akshit feels responsible to talk about it. He’s already released songs like Coffee, that talks about same-sex relationships, and Heartbeat, which talks about domestic sexual abuse. He is all set to address a lot of social issues through his debut album that he’s working on, called Storyteller.
