Arjan Singh drops Taara, a wordy, expressive, single

Architect turned singer-songwriter, Arjan Singh is from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He has been writing songs since he was 15 years old, but it was not until 2019 that he realized he wanted to leave architecture and share his music with the world. He released his debut EP “MUSAFIR” in Feb 2020, and has now returned with a single, titled Taara.

As a soulful guitar progression twinkles at the beginning followed by a lush of percussions, you know it’s time to let go and relax. Arjan’s voice accompanied by lyrics about love, sweet memories and everything in between is bound to make you smile. This song is about comfort and contentment that one needs in these unprecedented times. It’s about understanding that our loved ones who have passed away would never really leave us. The memories of good times spent with them will forever be etched in our thoughts. They have now become a shining star in the night sky. Now the nights are going to be longer and more precious than the days, because that is when we will get a chance to talk to them again. The little signs of conversations are what makes it even more comforting. Shining at times and sometimes hiding in the clouds, shimmering to leave you with a smile and also at breaking off to show their anger (a shooting star), this is how they speak to us now. But in the end we all need to be at ease with the thought that they are still here, with us (Tum Ho Yaheen).

ABout the song, Arjan says, “This song revolves around the thought that all our elders used to tell us – “Jab koi guzar jaata hai toh woh ek taara ban jaata hai” (When someone leaves for the heavenly abode, they become a star of the night sky). Maybe we did not realize it then, but it was their way of giving us hope and positivity to move ahead with.” This tone is perfectly captured in the song’s rather delightful music video.
