Teaming up German singer and songwriter, Kaja Riedle and long-time collaborator Yash Gosavi, Shantanu Gursal aka Smg is back with a brilliant single ‘Blinded by Your Love’. The synth-tinged offering sits snugly between indie-pop and electronica as Kaja’s soft, melodic vocals pull listeners into a world of soothing music that lifts with tasteful romanticism.
Smg the fast-rising artist who has begun to establish himself with his signature house music style, reinvents his artistry in this latest outing that sees him expand his versatility. Feel-good and calming, the track is a follow-up to the success of his previous releases ‘Walk’, and ‘One Dance’.
Speaking about the genesis of the track, Smg says, “Blinded by Your Love comes from a personal experience which in hindsight turned out to be an incident that changed my perspectives and inhibitions for the good. After my encounter with impulsiveness and bad decisions, I realized that it’s not consuming just me but it is consuming or has consumed people and relationships of all forms.”
He continues, “Taking my learnings that saw me being on the other side of experiences where people, because of their love for the person, continued chasing relationships that were toxic in nature, I wanted to culminate those feelings into the track, which was further elevated by Kaja through her evocative lyrics and emotional vocal performance along with Yash Gosavi’s stunning bed of Guitar tunes throughout the track.”

Mumbai based Shantanu started his Smg project in 2017 when his primary motif was being a DJ; as a DJ, Smg explored a wide array of genres before deciding to step into the world of music production. After dabbling with numerous genres and styles, Smg decided to make Electro Pop his standout genre and released his first single ‘Walk’ along with Yash Gosavi and Neil on Guitar and Vocal duties. Crossing 50,000 streams in just months after the release, ‘Walk’ marked a successful debut of the Smg project.

Kaja is a 20 year old Singer/Songwriter from Berlin. While studying Popular Music in her hometown, she gigs on the weekends and works as a singer in a club. Her style varies between Pop, R’n’B and Jazz and most of her songs have storytelling elements in them. She mostly accompanies herself on the piano, but also likes to include other musicians and singers.
