Big Little Lions release new single with seamless vocal harmonies

Cross border (CA/US) folk-pop duo Big Little Lions have been releasing a new single every month while not being able to tour and they continue this with ‘Goodbye For Now’ which is out today.

Goodbye For Now is a break-up song which is also appropriate for saying goodbye to 2021! It’s about knowing you have to leave something for your own good, even if it means leaving behind unfinished business. Merging discomfort and calm, indie-folk band Big Little Lions proves to be a powerhouse of honesty and realism with this new single.

Big Little Lions is the ferocious songwriting duo of Helen Austin and Paul Otten. Both successful singer/songwriters in their own right, they met while both on a conference songwriting member success panel and then a couple of years later started the band from afar, with Helen based on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada and Paul in Cincinnati, OH.They are an award winning duo who were born out of a collaboration that won them a JUNO Award in 2014. Since then they have been cranking out infectious folk pop songs that are jam-packed with emotion and tight harmonies that sound like the product of two people working side-by-side instead of living in different countries.

They have released 6 albums to date, which have garnered them awards including the CFMA Ensemble of the Year, Independent Music Awards Americana Single of the Year and the John Lennon Songwriting Competition Song of the Year. Their critically acclaimed music has appeared on the CBC’s Top 20 and featured on shows like q and Vinyl Cafe. The duo consists of Paul Otten and Helen Austin, both hugely prolific songwriters – their music has been placed in hundreds of movie trailers, ads, network TV shows and on MTV.

They are currently releasing a new song a month, most of which are on some great Spotify editorial playlists. Their music has been dubbed ‘a blissful marriage of new folk and sophisticated pop’ by Mariposa Folk Festival, and is packed with emotion and tight harmonies.
