Noor Kasauli is an altogether bright and breezy affair, homogeneous with first glimpses of light on a mountain top. According to Amartya, the song was written as he freely navigated the lovely Kasauli hill station with some friends. As the pandemic continues two years later, the track sounds so sweetly optimistic and naïve that we can’t help but be transported back to those halcyon days when hills stations were merely a decision away.
“I simply loved the vibe of this quaint little town Kasauli so ended up making a song on it. It’s called “Noor-Kasauli”. Its’ a pretty happy and uplifting Ukulele driven song that talks about the beauty of the place and its people. Basically a love song for the mountain lover in each of us. Well Noor Kasauli is as candid as it gets. Me and a couple of my friends went on a trip to this quaint little hill station, and immediately fell in love with its vibe. I loved the streets, the people, so much so that I wondered, what better way to pay homage to this beautiful place than make a song on it. In the process, we shot random footage of the cityscape from our phone cameras and captured moments as and when we could. Amartya Bobo Rahut is an exemplary and successful Indian singer-songwriter, music producer and an independent artist based in Mumbai, India. Bobo has composed and produced music for films, albums and singles such as Shaam Simti, Kaisi Ho ?, Darbaan, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, Drive, Aurangzeb, Uttarayan, Tumhari Sulu, Rewind – Nine Lost Stories, Om The Fusion Band, etc.
Bobo has also done music for over 2500 TV commercials, and he has worked for some of the biggest brands and campaigns including Godrej, ITC, McDonald’s, Hero Motocorp, Bharti AXA, HDFC Bank, Max New York, Haywards, Kingfisher IPL, Kurkure, Mirinda, Thums Up etc. Bobo has to his credit, the bronze at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for his Levi’s Slim Fit Commercial for best soundtrack. He also won the award for best soundtrack at Promax Awards for the MTV/Nickelodeon’s ‘Jingle Bell – Bhangra Version’. Bobo has composed various signature tunes such as Colors TV’s Flute Tune, BSNL’s Signature Tune, Godrej’s Whistle Mnemonic, Pepperfry’s Brand Tune, etc.
